One more celebrity committed suicide. Now for a couple of days this news as well as the value of mental health will float in full swing. In this lockdown only I watched Chhichore, and genuinely loved the movie for its message to the society. But now the question that is popping up in my mind why do we watch such movies if the actors who are getting paid for such roles are not taking the lessons in their life.
Well, suicide definitely can not be & is not a solution but if the person doesn't found anyone trustworthy to him this remains the only way. Why don't we teach ourselves to be patient & attentive enough to listen what a person wants to say. It has become our usual practice to make fun. Listening and sharing are the tools that open up the pathway to a more comfortable life.
I won't blame this year, not only bad things are happening in the year. We, as individuals, are now able to understand that we don't need so much to survive. We learnt to spend time with family, we cooked for them with more love, we played with our kids. But still there is one thing missing, we misunderstood spending time with family, with living with family. Physical presence is not actual presence, you also need an ear to listen to them, a mouth to speak with them, a heart to feel their feelings, and an empathetic persona to make others feel your presence.
Teach yourself (not others, no preaching, no force), to be calm and being able to listen what others are saying. Maybe, they are not only saying, they are trying to 'tell' you something. Train yourself before it's too late. It is eady to console than to take proper action, don't practice that. Tough paths lead to a comparatively safe life.
The biggest hurt is being ignored, it may be in real or in one's thoughts, but it occurs. Speak whenever you are trying to bury some thing in your mind and listen whenever someone is trying to pour their hearts out. Here an important point, listening is a difficult practice, don't suggest anything in a jiffy, but at least listen consciously. So that, if you feel the other person requires any help, you can seek for help or you can alert the family, friends, or any one who may be a helping hand.
